A few weeks ago I read about The Correspondence Club through one of my fav blogs and a good friend The Owl Club. Seeing what fun she had being part of the club I decided to sign up, see what it was all about, and I am not in the least disappointed.
Partners are assigned for a 2 month stretch, giving you a chance to get to know each other a bit more than just a fly by night note and giftie. My partner is from Mexico, her name is Elizabeth and what I gather from my first note and little mexico treasures she seems rather upbeat and colorful... a lot like me!
A good pairing I would say.
I really enjoy how when marking the date on her note she included underneath what the weather was! Great idea! Also, what a lovely red banner inside my letter!
I received a wonderfully hand made note card, I think it's made out of mexican money! or at least copies of mexican money which is pretty cool.
She sent me the cutest change purse no bigger than your palm of your hand perfect for carrying a few dollars while out and about. She also gifted me a mexican candy, and a teeny tiny hand woven mexican rug. It's pretty darn cute and just might make it into some photo shoots with my painted softies!
This month I sent her a cool New York post card, a hand crocheted something she can hang up in a window or wherever she likes, and also a little owl painting.
Isn't it funny how we both sent something to eachother round and colored and fiber related??
If you would like to participate in The Correspondance Club just visit here and sign up. It's fun, easy, and getting mail in your box that isn't bills or junk but something totally for you? well that's magic!
