This piece is new, but has been sitting on my studio for some time as I just didn't know what to write in the banner that's hangs from roof to roof. This piece is a little more simple than most of my pieces, but I thought it sweet and full of mystery. Like what does the song playing from the phonograph sound like? what would a home song melody be? Are there only two houses, or beyond the dark night could there be more? Lots of questions to ponder.
Home is where your already loved. That's a lyric from a song I love by a band called Head and Heart. Home is where you feel most comfortable, happy, and content. May your home be your escape from everyday life, a place where you can be truly comforted.
Happy Friday Friends!

It's perfection Ash, I love it! I think you came up with the perfect words for the banner. I remember you describing this to me and it's wonderful to see it at last. And in a way I feel like the song it made me think of - 'la maison où j'ai grandi' by Françoise Hardy - is present in the words, image and atmosphere, which makes me very happy! <3

I agree with Suki!! Perfection! Sometimes the simplest pieces speak louder than the more complex. This piece reminds me of those early prim paintings that I love so much!

Oh girls thank you! big hugs! :) I am always cautious with simple pieces, feeling like I didn't do enough. But sometimes you just know when your done and know that if you do anymore it will be too much :)
